Jacob Shemer is a sophomore at Virginia Tech's College of Natural Resources and the Environment. He chose this major because of his love for nature, in addition the interconnections of this field. Jacob states that Environmental Science/Management is the fastest growing field of work in the 21st-century because of it's importance for a healthy society. Post-graduation Jacob plans to return to Maryland and work towards the rehabilitation and restoration of the Chesapeake Bay and its' extensive watersheds.
